NOTES:
“Dear Grandpa, I am the son of your oldest son, John. My name is John E. Tedder, Jr. Sorry it took me so long to leave a note about you. Even though I never knew you, I knew a lot about you. You have always been someone I looked up to. Whenever I am in Marine City, MI, I always stop at yours & Grandma’s gravesites. You had a wonderful family. R.I.P.”

“Sheriff Tedder was my grandfather. My father, Robert Edgar Tedder was one of 11 children. I have a newspaper article regarding this day in Oakland County history if any family members are interested. God bless.”

“My grandfather, Edgar Harvey Tedder, was shot in the line of duty alongside Undersheriff, Frank J. Greenan, Nov 2, 1932. Following a lead on the Clarkston Bank Robbery, Tedder and Greenen tracked down the robbers, known as the Dillon Gang, at a farm in Lapeer. Shot at the farm, my grandfather never made it out of the farm house. My mother was born 1 month to the day after my grandfather died, December 2, 1932. Frank Greenan died later in the hospital as well.”
